# Chick vs Panda Express

The clearest difference is monetization model: Panda Express at free against Chick's free with in-app purchases. Panda Express also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). Chick's advantage is review sentiment (72% vs 54%) and ratings volume (4.3M vs 627K). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Chick against 4.8 for Panda Express. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chick has 4.3M ratings behind it against 627K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 72% of Chick's written reviews are positive against 54% of Panda Express's.

Chick ships an update every 2 weeks, Panda Express every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
