# Snaptown vs Raley's

Snaptown and Raley's both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 76% of Snaptown's written reviews are positive against 20% of Raley's's. Snaptown also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Raley's's advantage is ratings volume (18K vs 455). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Raley's holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Raley's has 18K ratings behind it against 455, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Snaptown's written reviews are positive against 20% of Raley's's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Snaptown ships an update every 5 weeks, Raley's monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
