# iWindow vs PlatoVPN

The clearest difference is rating: PlatoVPN at 4.7 against iWindow's 4.0. PlatoVPN also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (36K vs 2). iWindow's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and review sentiment (100% vs 65%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PlatoVPN sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. iWindow asks for nothing beyond the download.

PlatoVPN holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PlatoVPN has 36K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of iWindow's written reviews are positive against 65% of PlatoVPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iWindow ships an update every 6 months, PlatoVPN every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 8, 2026 respectively.
