# Werdsmith vs Labshare

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Labshare at none against Werdsmith's 6. Labshare also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). Werdsmith's advantage is ratings volume (8K vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Werdsmith sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Labshare asks for nothing beyond the download.

Labshare holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Werdsmith has 8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Werdsmith ships an update fortnightly, Labshare every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and August 14, 2026 respectively.
