# Werdsmith vs My Class App

The clearest difference is price: Werdsmith at Free against My Class App's $2.99. Werdsmith also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 37 months) and ratings volume (8K vs 4). My Class App's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and review sentiment (100% vs 82%). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Werdsmith is free to download; My Class App costs $2.99 up front. Werdsmith sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. My Class App asks for nothing beyond the download.

Werdsmith holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Werdsmith has 8K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of Werdsmith's written reviews are positive against 100% of My Class App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Werdsmith ships an update fortnightly, My Class App every 37 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and July 18, 2026 respectively.
