# CTM Buddy vs 9eSIM

The clearest difference is rating: 9eSIM at 3.7 against CTM Buddy's 2.5. CTM Buddy's advantage is review sentiment (25% vs 0%) and ratings volume (26 vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

9eSIM holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CTM Buddy has 26 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of CTM Buddy's written reviews are positive against 0% of 9eSIM's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CTM Buddy ships an update fortnightly, 9eSIM every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
