# Daily Devotional Readings vs Bible

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Bible at none against Daily Devotional Readings's 12. Bible also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly). Daily Devotional Readings's advantage is ratings volume (3K vs 6) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.2). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Daily Devotional Readings sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Bible asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Daily Devotional Readings against 5.0 for Bible. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Daily Devotional Readings has 3K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Daily Devotional Readings ships an update fortnightly, Bible every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
