# Paperless Post vs Wird

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Paperless Post at 127K against Wird's 4. Paperless Post also leads on chart position (#148 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Paperless Post sells 14 one-off in-app purchases and Wird sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wird holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Paperless Post has 127K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Paperless Post ships an update fortnightly, Wird every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
