# EON TV vs ArenaCineplex

The clearest difference is rating: ArenaCineplex at 4.2 against EON TV's 2.3. ArenaCineplex also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). EON TV's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 8 months) and review sentiment (15% vs 0%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ArenaCineplex holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EON TV has 156 ratings behind it against 26, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of EON TV's written reviews are positive against 0% of ArenaCineplex's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EON TV ships an update every 6 weeks, ArenaCineplex every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
