# Buffer vs DavinesPro Connect

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: DavinesPro Connect at none against Buffer's 12. DavinesPro Connect also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). Buffer's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (35K vs 34). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Buffer sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. DavinesPro Connect asks for nothing beyond the download.

DavinesPro Connect holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Buffer has 35K ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Buffer ships an update every 5 days, DavinesPro Connect every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
