# Palm Reader vs Palm Reader

The clearest difference is monetization model: Palm Reader at freemium against Palm Reader's subscription. Palm Reader also leads on ratings volume (10K vs 581) and review sentiment (41% vs 26%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Palm Reader sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Palm Reader sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for Palm Reader against 4.2 for Palm Reader. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Palm Reader has 10K ratings behind it against 581, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 41% of Palm Reader's written reviews are positive against 26% of Palm Reader's.

Palm Reader ships an update every 2 weeks, Palm Reader every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
