# Palm Reader vs Ghostalker

The clearest difference is price: Palm Reader at Free against Ghostalker's $2.99. Palm Reader also leads on rating (4.3 vs 3.4) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 months). Ghostalker's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 12) and ads (none vs shown). On device support there is nothing between them.

Palm Reader is free to download; Ghostalker costs $2.99 up front. Palm Reader sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Ghostalker asks for nothing beyond the download.

Palm Reader holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Palm Reader has 10K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Palm Reader's written reviews are positive against 50% of Ghostalker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Palm Reader ships an update every 2 weeks, Ghostalker every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
