# Palm Reader vs Palmist

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Palm Reader at 41% against Palmist's 0%. Palm Reader also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and rating (4.3 vs 3.8). Palmist's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Palm Reader sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Palmist sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Palm Reader holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Palm Reader has 10K ratings behind it against 42, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 41% of Palm Reader's written reviews are positive against 0% of Palmist's.

Palm Reader ships an update every 2 weeks, Palmist every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 22, 2026.
