# Palm Reader vs DroPrints

The clearest difference is review sentiment: DroPrints at 100% against Palm Reader's 41%. DroPrints also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.3) and in-app purchases (none vs 12). Palm Reader's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 20 months) and ratings volume (10K vs 1). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Palm Reader sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. DroPrints asks for nothing beyond the download.

DroPrints holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Palm Reader has 10K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 41% of Palm Reader's written reviews are positive against 100% of DroPrints's.

Palm Reader ships an update every 2 weeks, DroPrints every 20 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
