# Palm Reader vs Future Messages

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Future Messages at 77% against Palm Reader's 41%. Future Messages also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 14.0). Palm Reader's advantage is ratings volume (10K vs 23) and rating (4.3 vs 4.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Palm Reader sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Future Messages sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Palm Reader holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Palm Reader has 10K ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Palm Reader's written reviews are positive against 77% of Future Messages's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
