# Palm Reader vs Palm Reader

The clearest difference is rating: Palm Reader at 4.3 against Palm Reader's 2.2. Palm Reader also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 16 months) and ratings volume (10K vs 6). Palm Reader's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 12) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Palm Reader sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Palm Reader asks for nothing beyond the download.

Palm Reader holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Palm Reader has 10K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Palm Reader's written reviews are positive against 43% of Palm Reader's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Palm Reader ships an update every 2 weeks, Palm Reader every 16 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
