# Palm Reader vs Palm Reading Lite

The clearest difference is rating: Palm Reader at 4.3 against Palm Reading Lite's 2.9. Palm Reader also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 13 months) and ratings volume (10K vs 7). Palm Reading Lite's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (50% vs 41%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Palm Reader sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Palm Reading Lite sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Palm Reader holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Palm Reader has 10K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of Palm Reader's written reviews are positive against 50% of Palm Reading Lite's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Palm Reader ships an update every 2 weeks, Palm Reading Lite every 13 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
