# iWriteMusic Pro SE vs Easy Note

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: iWriteMusic Pro SE at none against Easy Note's 1. iWriteMusic Pro SE also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (207 vs 1). Easy Note's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Easy Note sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. iWriteMusic Pro SE asks for nothing beyond the download.

Easy Note holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iWriteMusic Pro SE has 207 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 53% of iWriteMusic Pro SE's written reviews are positive against 50% of Easy Note's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iWriteMusic Pro SE ships an update every 4 weeks, Easy Note fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
