# Yr.no vs UAV Forecast

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Yr.no at none against UAV Forecast's 14. Yr.no also leads on review sentiment (61% vs 33%). UAV Forecast's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. UAV Forecast sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Yr.no asks for nothing beyond the download.

UAV Forecast holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UAV Forecast has 3.5K ratings behind it against 204, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Yr.no's written reviews are positive against 33% of UAV Forecast's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Yr.no ships an update every 2 weeks, UAV Forecast every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
