# Yr.no vs HRTMeteo

The clearest difference is rating: HRTMeteo at 5.0 against Yr.no's 4.3. Yr.no's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (204 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HRTMeteo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Yr.no has 204 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Yr.no's written reviews are positive against 40% of HRTMeteo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Yr.no ships an update fortnightly, HRTMeteo every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
