# Yr vs The Thermometer

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Yr at none against The Thermometer's 4. Yr also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). The Thermometer's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and chart position there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Thermometer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Yr asks for nothing beyond the download.

The Thermometer holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 203 and 596 respectively.
