# Mematic vs Lexy PDF Viewer

The clearest difference is monetization model: Mematic at free with in-app purchases against Lexy PDF Viewer's subscription. Mematic also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (163K vs 185). Lexy PDF Viewer's advantage is iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mematic sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Lexy PDF Viewer sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $12.90 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mematic holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mematic has 163K ratings behind it against 185, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 80% of Mematic's written reviews are positive against 68% of Lexy PDF Viewer's.

Mematic ships an update every 9 days, Lexy PDF Viewer every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
