# Doodle Devil™ Alchemy HD vs Brain Alchemy

The clearest difference is rating: Brain Alchemy at 4.3 against Doodle Devil™ Alchemy HD's 3.9. Brain Alchemy also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). Doodle Devil™ Alchemy HD's advantage is review sentiment (60% vs 50%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Doodle Devil™ Alchemy HD sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Brain Alchemy sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Brain Alchemy holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 14 and 7 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Doodle Devil™ Alchemy HD's written reviews are positive against 50% of Brain Alchemy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Doodle Devil™ Alchemy HD ships an update every 4 months, Brain Alchemy every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 16, 2026.
