# Mars Quest vs 8

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: 8 at none against Mars Quest's 5. 8 also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and review sentiment (100% vs 68%). Mars Quest's advantage is ratings volume (91 vs 2) and device support. On price there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mars Quest sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. 8 asks for nothing beyond the download.

8 holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mars Quest has 91 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 68% of Mars Quest's written reviews are positive against 100% of 8's.
