# LingoKit vs TapSay

The clearest difference is rating: TapSay at 5.0 against LingoKit's 3.8. TapSay also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 2 months). LingoKit's advantage is ratings volume (24 vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LingoKit sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and TapSay sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TapSay holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LingoKit has 24 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

LingoKit ships an update every 2 months, TapSay daily. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
