# The CW vs Performance Racing Network

The clearest difference is rating: Performance Racing Network at 4.0 against The CW's 3.3. Performance Racing Network also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). The CW's advantage is ratings volume (22K vs 13) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Performance Racing Network holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The CW has 22K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 11% of The CW's written reviews are positive against 27% of Performance Racing Network's.

The CW ships an update every 4 weeks, Performance Racing Network every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
