# The CW vs Beacon Nuggies

The clearest difference is rating: Beacon Nuggies at 5.0 against The CW's 3.2. Beacon Nuggies also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). The CW's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 12 months) and ratings volume (22K vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Beacon Nuggies holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The CW has 22K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
