# NIR Color vs Neongraf

The clearest difference is review sentiment: NIR Color at 83% against Neongraf's 32%. NIR Color also leads on monetization model (free vs paid) and ratings volume (21 vs 1). Neongraf's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.3) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 10 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

NIR Color costs $2.99 and Neongraf $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Neongraf holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NIR Color has 21 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of NIR Color's written reviews are positive against 32% of Neongraf's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NIR Color ships an update every 10 months, Neongraf every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
