# TEFview vs Flat

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: TEFview at none against Flat's 11. TEFview also leads on review sentiment (91% vs 68%) and iOS requirement (11.1 vs 16.1). Flat's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (7K vs 303). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flat sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. TEFview asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for TEFview against 4.6 for Flat. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flat has 7K ratings behind it against 303, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 91% of TEFview's written reviews are positive against 68% of Flat's.

TEFview ships an update every 5 months, Flat fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
