# iCardPlayer vs Spades+

The clearest difference is rating: Spades+ at 4.7 against iCardPlayer's 4.3. Spades+ also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 10 months) and ratings volume (287 vs 20). iCardPlayer's advantage is review sentiment (74% vs 47%) and price ($1.99 vs $2.99). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

iCardPlayer costs $1.99 and Spades+ $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Spades+ holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spades+ has 287 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of iCardPlayer's written reviews are positive against 47% of Spades+'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iCardPlayer ships an update every 10 months, Spades+ every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
