# GIG vs KIPCO

The clearest difference is rating: KIPCO at 5.0 against GIG's 3.6. KIPCO also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). GIG's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (21 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

KIPCO holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GIG has 21 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

GIG ships an update every 2 weeks, KIPCO every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
