# Drumgenius vs Beats Live!

The clearest difference is price: Drumgenius at Free against Beats Live!'s $3.99. Drumgenius also leads on review sentiment (77% vs 50%) and ratings volume (234 vs 3). Beats Live!'s advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and in-app purchases (none vs 5). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Drumgenius is free to download; Beats Live! costs $3.99 up front. Drumgenius sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Beats Live! asks for nothing beyond the download.

Beats Live! holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drumgenius has 234 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of Drumgenius's written reviews are positive against 50% of Beats Live!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
