# Drumgenius vs CleverJazz

The clearest difference is review sentiment: CleverJazz at 100% against Drumgenius's 76%. Drumgenius's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (232 vs 5). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drumgenius sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and CleverJazz sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Drumgenius holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drumgenius has 232 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Drumgenius's written reviews are positive against 100% of CleverJazz's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
