# WINDTRE vs HeySmart

The clearest difference is update cadence: WINDTRE at every 5 weeks against HeySmart's every 10 months. WINDTRE also leads on ratings volume (1.1K vs 6) and review sentiment (68% vs 45%). HeySmart's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HeySmart holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WINDTRE has 1.1K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of WINDTRE's written reviews are positive against 45% of HeySmart's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WINDTRE ships an update every 5 weeks, HeySmart every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
