# WINDTRE vs iliadbox Connect

The clearest difference is monetization model: iliadbox Connect at free against WINDTRE's free with in-app purchases. WINDTRE's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 13) and rating (4.4 vs 4.1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

WINDTRE holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WINDTRE has 1.1K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of WINDTRE's written reviews are positive against 76% of iliadbox Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WINDTRE ships an update every 5 weeks, iliadbox Connect every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
