# Tone Dial vs ASUS Router

The clearest difference is rating: ASUS Router at 4.5 against Tone Dial's 3.7. ASUS Router also leads on ratings volume (64K vs 3) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months). Tone Dial's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 43%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ASUS Router holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ASUS Router has 64K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Tone Dial's written reviews are positive against 43% of ASUS Router's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tone Dial ships an update every 4 months, ASUS Router every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
