# EQ Network vs Pattern HD

The clearest difference is ads: EQ Network at none against Pattern HD's shown. EQ Network also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (100% vs 77%). Pattern HD's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (20 vs 2). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EQ Network sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Pattern HD sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pattern HD holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pattern HD has 20 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of EQ Network's written reviews are positive against 77% of Pattern HD's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EQ Network ships an update every 5 weeks, Pattern HD every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
