# QatarPrayer vs AL SHAQAB

The clearest difference is rating: QatarPrayer at 4.7 against AL SHAQAB's 3.7. QatarPrayer also leads on ratings volume (291 vs 3) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). AL SHAQAB's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks) and review sentiment (100% vs 91%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

QatarPrayer holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QatarPrayer has 291 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 91% of QatarPrayer's written reviews are positive against 100% of AL SHAQAB's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

QatarPrayer ships an update every 6 weeks, AL SHAQAB every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
