# Sleep Fan vs DECUS

The clearest difference is ads: DECUS at none against Sleep Fan's shown. DECUS also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 6 weeks) and review sentiment (100% vs 72%). Sleep Fan's advantage is ratings volume (37K vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sleep Fan sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and DECUS sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DECUS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sleep Fan has 37K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 72% of Sleep Fan's written reviews are positive against 100% of DECUS's.

Sleep Fan ships an update every 6 weeks, DECUS every 4 days. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
