# Alchemy Guide vs Devi

The clearest difference is price: Devi at Free against Alchemy Guide's $1.99. Devi also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). Alchemy Guide's advantage is ratings volume (63 vs 2) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 17.0). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Devi is free to download; Alchemy Guide costs $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Devi holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Alchemy Guide has 63 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Alchemy Guide ships an update every 3 weeks, Devi every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
