# Minesweeper vs Minesweeper

The clearest difference is ads: Minesweeper at none against Minesweeper's shown. Minesweeper also leads on ratings volume (1.5K vs 23) and iOS requirement (10.3 vs 15.0). Minesweeper's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs monthly) and review sentiment (100% vs 83%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Minesweeper sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Minesweeper sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Minesweeper against 4.7 for Minesweeper. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Minesweeper has 1.5K ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 83% of Minesweeper's written reviews are positive against 100% of Minesweeper's.

Minesweeper ships an update monthly, Minesweeper weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
