# MLB vs DubClub

The clearest difference is monetization model: MLB at free with in-app purchases against DubClub's subscription. MLB also leads on ratings volume (955K vs 2K) and chart position (#6 vs #124). DubClub's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (63% vs 40%). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MLB sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and DubClub sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for MLB against 4.7 for DubClub. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MLB has 955K ratings behind it against 2K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 40% of MLB's written reviews are positive against 63% of DubClub's.

MLB ships an update every 9 days, DubClub fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
