# Flashlight vs Kids Night Light

The clearest difference is ads: Kids Night Light at none against Flashlight's shown. Kids Night Light also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Flashlight's advantage is ratings volume (99K vs 8). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Flashlight against 4.9 for Kids Night Light. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flashlight has 99K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 90% of Flashlight's written reviews are positive against 83% of Kids Night Light's.
