# FX Math Solver vs ACT Math

The clearest difference is review sentiment: FX Math Solver at 60% against ACT Math's 0%. FX Math Solver also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 12 months). ACT Math's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 3.9). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ACT Math sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. FX Math Solver asks for nothing beyond the download.

ACT Math holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FX Math Solver has 86 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of FX Math Solver's written reviews are positive against 0% of ACT Math's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FX Math Solver ships an update every 3 months, ACT Math every 12 months. Both last shipped on October 15, 2026.
