# Coordinates vs Mob Armor GPS

The clearest difference is monetization model: Coordinates at free with in-app purchases against Mob Armor GPS's subscription. Coordinates also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (6.8K vs 34). Mob Armor GPS's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 15.6). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coordinates sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Mob Armor GPS sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Coordinates holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coordinates has 6.8K ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Coordinates's written reviews are positive against 68% of Mob Armor GPS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Coordinates ships an update monthly, Mob Armor GPS every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
