# Coordinates vs GeoCaches

The clearest difference is ads: GeoCaches at none against Coordinates's shown. Coordinates's advantage is review sentiment (64% vs 37%) and rating (4.6 vs 4.4). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coordinates sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and GeoCaches sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Coordinates holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coordinates has 6.8K ratings behind it against 1.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 64% of Coordinates's written reviews are positive against 37% of GeoCaches's.

Coordinates ships an update monthly, GeoCaches every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
