# Coordinates vs MoveTrails

The clearest difference is review sentiment: MoveTrails at 100% against Coordinates's 64%. MoveTrails also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). Coordinates's advantage is ratings volume (6.8K vs 4) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coordinates sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and MoveTrails sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MoveTrails holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coordinates has 6.8K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 64% of Coordinates's written reviews are positive against 100% of MoveTrails's.

Coordinates ships an update monthly, MoveTrails every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
