# Coordinates vs Waypointer

The clearest difference is rating: Coordinates at 4.6 against Waypointer's 1.0. Coordinates also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (6.7K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coordinates sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Waypointer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Coordinates holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coordinates has 6.7K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Coordinates ships an update monthly, Waypointer every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
