# Finger Bells vs Flute Sim

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Finger Bells at none against Flute Sim's 2. Finger Bells also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 12.0). Flute Sim's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 83%) and update cadence (every 4 months vs every 14 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flute Sim sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Finger Bells asks for nothing beyond the download.

Finger Bells holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flute Sim has 42 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Finger Bells's written reviews are positive against 100% of Flute Sim's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Finger Bells ships an update every 14 months, Flute Sim every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
