# Stop Animator vs StopMotionCraft

Stop Animator and StopMotionCraft both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 48% of Stop Animator's written reviews are positive against 36% of StopMotionCraft's. Stop Animator also leads on ratings volume (924 vs 267). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stop Animator sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and StopMotionCraft sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StopMotionCraft holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 924 and 267 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of Stop Animator's written reviews are positive against 36% of StopMotionCraft's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Stop Animator ships an update every 2 months, StopMotionCraft monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
